Job Summary

The Hospitality Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving revenue and room night occupancy at owned & operated hotel and managed lodging properties across the Vail Resorts portfolio of North American mountain resorts, leveraging data and guest segmentation to drive results. The ideal candidate is analytical in nature, has Product Marketing experience and has been in previous roles accountable for drive marketing ROI and revenue targets. This individual should have a proven track record demonstrating drive, ambition, business acumen, and emotional intelligence. This is an analytical role, and relationship building will be a key component of success. The position requires the ability to analyze data and to provide strategic insights with actionable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner to cross-functional stakeholders.

This person will deliver data and insights to support GTM planning, manage relationships with key business partners, manage OTA channels, deliver marketing insights based on Revenue Management & Marketing Analytics reporting, managing Hospitality Marketing Budget in partnership with Sr. Specialist, provide business context to Hospitality leads, develop process creation/management, develop core-sales & campaign strategy and optimization, manage and develop Sr. Marketing Specialist, and oversee marketing promotions and messaging to drive lodging occupancy, room nights and revenue. They will also work cross-functionally with other Marketing centers of excellence in powering the go to market strategy for multiple lodging properties across resorts and geographies. 

The Hospitality Marketing Manager must be a good communicator that is able to give and take feedback, as well as effectively collaborate with team members and prioritize workflow. He/she will have their hands in many different types of projects and be responsible for delivering results on-time in a very fast-paced environment. Flexibility and a positive attitude are crucial, as well as the ability to process and determine strategy from multiple data sources.


Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate very strong quantitative and analytical skills with demonstrated success in analytical roles
  • Experience communicating actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights to business stakeholders.
  • Understanding of guest acquisition and segmentation strategies to assist in developing and executing go to market process.
  • Leverage guest insights and data to drive effective marketing campaigns that deliver clearly definable results
  • Demonstrate success working with large data sets, developing tools for streamlined analysis, and creating reports that succinctly summarize complex concepts
  • Partner with Revenue Management, Analytics, and Channel teams to provide reporting and actionable insights for GTM planning and optimization.
  • Create and distribute recap decks and on-going reporting to track performance and provide insights. Communicate performance metrics with stakeholders such as campaign performance and impact to the business.
  • Leverage guest acquisition and segmentation strategies to assist in developing and executing go to market process.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (Revenue Management, Channel Teams, etc.)
  • Manage OTA channels and insights (Expedia, Trip Advisor, Google, etc.)
  • Manage the Hospitality Marketing budget with precision, and demonstrate strong budget acumen
  • Work closely with multiple teams at central HQ and resort-based partners to execute company-wide campaigns and promotions
  • Managing the Sr. Marketing Specialist in day-to-day roles / responsibilities, feedback, career development, etc.


Job Requirements

  • Four-year college degree required. Emphasis in marketing, business and/or communications preferred.
  • 4-5 years of marketing work experience. Hospitality / Travel experience strongly preferred.
  • 1+ years direct supervisory experience
  • Excellent English language and writing skills.
  • Excellent bookkeeping and accounting skills.
  • High degree of organization, attention to details and level of professional conduct. Self-starter, ambitious and multi-tasker.
