Applications are still being accepted in anticipation of opening our resorts for the summer season, contingent on our ability to resume operations.


We are looking for a talented, eager student to join our Hospitality, Reservations and Sales IT delivery team as an Intern for the summer of 2020. Reporting to our Senior IT Project Manager, this intern will learn how Project Management works in a fast paced, diverse environment.  They will participate in planning, risk management, budget management, defect management and many other areas of Project Management. 


Job Activities

  • Assist with project management activities (information gathering and analysis, project schedule, key metrics reporting, tasks, etc.)
  • Partner with the project team to plan for appropriate testing, training, and transition plans
  • Assist with project communication to core team and stakeholders
  • Participate in regular team meetings


Key Opportunities

  • Participation in one of our biggest strategic projects as we replace our Property Management System for lodging with a new, modern solution.  This solution will modernize and improve the lodging experience and operations at all of our lodging locations across multiple resorts including Whistler Blackcomb (Canada), Crested Butte (CO), Vail (CO), Beaver Creek (CO), Breckenridge (CO), Keystone (CO), Park City (UT), Heavenly (CA), Northstar (CA), Kirkwood(CA), Hunter (NY), Liberty (PA), Mt Snow (VT), Okemo (VT).
  • Ability to participate in projects in multiple other parts of the team including projects that will support our reservations call centers and group sales teams.
  • Regular access to the director of the team for mentoring and guidance (in addition to her leadership of this team, the director is a member of our POWDER organization, Corporate Culture initiative and also leads the Talent and Mentorship processes for IT)
  • Access to key stakeholders across multiple teams
  • Session up at one of our Colorado resorts to get a tour of our lodging operations and better understand how the technology enables the operations


Job Requirements

  • Working towards a college degree
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with the Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with tools such as Smartsheets and/or Project is an added bonus
