Summary of Job:

This is an entry level accounting position within the Homeowner Accounting team. Responsbilities include maintaining accurate accounts for homeowners of Vail Resorts managed properties and responding promptly to homeowner questions. Homeowner accountants will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy of support for homeowners.


General Description:

  • Assist in owner support through the processes of billing, maintenance of the owner portal, and accurate revenue & expense postings to owner accounts
  • Manage homeowner accounting email & voicemail inbox, responding promptly and accuratley to stakeholders
  • Preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure transactional accuracy and compliance
  • Contribute to department initiatives and team goals, including subsystem upgrades and integrations
  • Work with Association Accounting staff to enter and maintain budgets for over 100 associations
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional, and team focused attitude


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Post expense and revenue corrections 
  • Close month end financials and distribute statements
  • Manage Association agings and delinquent accounts procedures
  • Create general ledger journals
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts 
  • Collect & remit appropriate withholding taxes for foreign owners
  • Association dues posting
  • Report financial status to title companies at sale of property
  • Create new and purge old owner records
  • Extensive customer service
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor Degree in business, accounting or related discipline - preferred
  • Strong attention to detail; highly organized
  • Strong customer service orientation and experience with excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with point of sale or accounting software - preferred




The budgeted range starts at 16.50 - 18.00.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
