Job Summary:

As the Director of Account Services, you will lead the account team within the internal Creative Services department, acting as a key liaison between brand stakeholders and creative teams across Vail Resorts’ portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of stakeholder management, integrated marketing strategy, and creative operations. You will champion operational excellence and ensure creative solutions meet strategic objectives in service of the business. 

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $134,706.30 - $153,127.15 + annual bonus + equity 

  • Employment Type: Year Round

Job Responsibilities:

  • Account Strategy & Stakeholder Partnerships 
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to brand, product, and channel marketing teams, as well as enterprise/corporate functions. 
    • Develop and nurture senior-level relationships across the organization. 
    • Work closely with brand and product teams to translate business goals into clear creative strategies. 
  • Team Management 
    • Manage team of Account Managers focused on stakeholder management and creative development. 
    • Define and implement scalable creative processes and systems to support growth. 
    • Build a team culture focused on proactive problem-solving and executional excellence. 
    • Prioritize team development for future growth and leadership opportunities. 
  • Campaign Oversight & Execution 
    • Act as liaison between creative, marketing, product, and executive teams during key strategic planning periods. 
    • Collaborate with creative leadership to ensure alignment with marketing objectives. 
    • Oversee execution of multi-channel campaigns, ensuring consistent brand storytelling. 
    • Develop systems to monitor creative effectiveness and lead post-project debriefs and reporting for future optimization 
  • Project & Workflow Management 
    • Standardize creative processes to improve consistency and efficiency. Define the intake and briefing process for all initiatives and brand campaigns. 
    • Implement documentation processes for training and control purposes. 
    • Streamline workflow and intake systems in partnership with Project Management and Creative Operations. 
    • Leverage data and insights to improve future planning, creative output, and team efficiency. 
    • Track project costs and optimize spend across internal and external resources. Negotiate contracts with vendors, agencies, and freelancers. 

 

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in account management, marketing, or creative services. 
  • 5+ years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams. 
  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns. 
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Experience working in or with in-house creative teams. 
  • Experience in the travel, hospitality, or outdoor recreation industry -Preferred
  • Familiarity with Adobe Workfront, Jira, or similar project management tools -Preferred
  • Passion for the Vail Resorts mission and an understanding of the mountain lifestyle -Preferred

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $134,706.30 - $153,127.15 + annual bonus + equity. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
