Job Summary:

The Compensation Analyst at Vail Resorts supports the administration, governance, and oversight of compensation programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and market alignment. This role partners closely with Global Shared Services (GSS) and HR Technology to deliver scalable compensation processes using Workday and related tools. A successful candidate will have a background in compensation, HR analytics, or financial analysis with the ability to learn and understand compensation methodologies.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $23.22/hr - $35.35/hr

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide compensation guidance, analysis, and decision support related to salary actions, job evaluations, job architecture, pay programs and policy interpretation.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex compensation cases and inquiries from GSS, applying sound judgment and ensuring consistent and equitable outcomes.
  • Review and assess the quality, accuracy, and compliance of GSS compensation audits, including identifying trends and risk areas.
  • Manage and support compensation tools and related processes to enable accurate and efficient compensation decisions.
  • Own and maintain compensation knowledge articles, standard operating procedures, and reference documentation to support consistency and employee experience.
  • Participate in salary surveys and market practice studies ensuring accuracy of data and benchmarking.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with wage and hour regulations  including FLSA classification and related requirements, and promote the consistent and equitable application of compensation practices.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Human Resources
  • At least 2 years of years experience in compensation, HR analytics, financial analysis, or a related analytical role
  • CCP preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with HR systems or compensation tools (e.g. Workday) preferred
  • Professional and clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of compensation practices and trends, and desire to advance in the field
  • Strong  analytical, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects
  • Team player with the ability to exercise diplomacy and good judgment
  • Enjoys working independently in a fast-paced environment

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $23.22/hr - $35.35/hr. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
