Job Specifications:

  • The budgeted range starts at $50,000 - $60,900.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. 


Job Summary:

The Homeowner Association Analyst will be an integral part of the accounting team responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting for the Homeowner Associations managed by Vail Resorts. Responsibilities include journal entry preparation, balance sheet and bank account reconciliation, monthly financial statement reporting, and annual budget preparation. The homeowner accounting team works closely with various internal and external stakeholders including property managers, lodging operations, and shared services accounting.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Journal entry preparation, and comprehensive review and approval of journals prepared by other team members
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis of monthly fluctuations
  • Perform billing processes for property management, homeowners, and general corporate business channels
  • Support HOA stakeholders with financial analysis, which may include generation and analysis of income statements, budgets, balance sheets and statements of cash flows
  • Facilitate annual budget preparation process for portfolio of HOA’s
  • Train and support property managers on shared service processes and accounting software, as needed
  • Contribute to ongoing team process improvement goals, making recommendations and participating/leading initiatives
  • Attend HOA board meetings as needed (Virtual/In Person)
  • Ad hoc other duties as assigned


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2 + years accounting experience
  • Strong accounting/finance knowledge, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience using property management or ERP software (IQWare & PeopleSoft) – preferred


The budgeted range starts at $50,000 - $60,900.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
