As the Senior Manager you will be responsible facilitating the Destination Marketing go-to-market process, establishing the Process Management strategy for Vail Resorts Marketing, developing and executing the implementation strategy roadmap, as well as continuous process optimization across the Vail Resorts Marketing organization. The purpose of this role is to establish expertise in process design and transformation implementation. The ideal candidate will have direct experience Marketing process transformation and collaboration/workflow tools, and a demonstrated ability to drive change through an organization.

  • Change management: understanding of how to facilitate change across an organization
  • Enterprise view: capable of a holistic view of processes and impacts
  • Leadership: ability to serve as a trusted expert
  • Empathy: understanding the potential emotional barriers
  • Communication skills: ability to promote the new processes



  • Drive:  Develop and drive the accountability of business objectives and supporting Marketing initiatives.
    • Provide process facilitation and oversight; facilitate agreement on objectives and success measures, provide overall process expertise to minimize bottlenecks. 
    • Partner closely at the Vice President and Director levels to support key areas of process that focus on highest priorities, and partner with those executing the go-to-market process to continuously optimize our execution processes.

  • Re-Imagine: Bring new ideas, methods, and approaches to Vail Resorts and this role.  Leverage own expertise to challenge the status quo and drive process optimization necessary to improve our business processes and related technology.
    • Assist in the realization of the Destination processes and to expand these process improvements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience including experience with process and marketing process transformation
  • Proven ability to drive process change through an organization
  • Familiarity with process frameworks such as APQC, IP5 or similar
  • Connect with and lead others who do not directly report to you
  • Regular exposure to Director and VP levels within the Marketing functions and related technology leaders
  • Management consulting experience preferred, but not required
  • Is able to manage matrixed project teams consisting of Marketing, IT, Resorts and 3rd party contractors
  • Technology advocate and highly proficient in process management / workflow tools


  • Ability to drive strategy, vision, direction, and prioritization on enterprise wide projects and programs at the Executive level.
  • Can manage initiatives from concept through to completion, including the development and presentation of a business case.
  • Informed on industry standards and practices, and a forward thinker on new innovative approaches.

Process Management:

  • Ability to take an enterprise view that includes many projects and stakeholders in order to ensure enterprise efficiencies.
  • Ensures that deadlines are understood and enforced across the process steps to minimize bottlenecks.
  • Provide vision and leadership regarding organizational and process design of enterprise go-to-market processes.

Employee Management:

  • Ability to manage/oversee a significant number of internal and contract resources across multiple teams.

Vendor Management:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to external vendors including influencing product roadmaps, resourcing, and financial management.
  • Ability to work through vendor contract management issues.
