The duties of the Design Review Agent include, but is not limited to:

  • Perform daily site inspections of all properties in Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, Arrowhead and Red Sky Ranch for compliance with design guidelines and construction rules and regulations.
  • Perform daily inspections of Beaver Creek Village/Commercial Core area.  Specifically, carry out inspections of stores, store fronts, signage.
  • Responsible for contacting and educating store owners & managers as to commercial space design guidelines, signage regulations, and DRB processes.
  • Maintain positive communication with developers, architects, property owners and contractors, to ensure a clear understanding of the design and construction rules and regulations as related to design review to reduce the need for enforcement actions.
  • Possess ability to enforce regulations as needed.
  • Work closely with the applicable Metropolitan Districts, Security Departments and Eagle County to integrate the design review process and inspections for construction of all projects.
  • Work with architects, contractors and homeowners to effectively resolve problems.


  • Two years experience in construction, architectural planning or related field - required
  • HS Diploma or GED - required
  • A valid Colorado Driver's License - required
  • An acceptable driving record - required
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently - required
  • Ability to write and verbally communicate clear and concise reports, letters, and memos - required
  • Knowledge of and experience in the principles and techniques of construction, on site inspections, covenant enforcement, land use and development, and interpretation of design and construction rules and regulations - strongly preferred
  • Experience preferred in plan review, preparation and presentation of written staff recommendations, research of records and site analysis, preferably in a mountain resort community  - strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with the communities of Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, Arrowhead at Vail and Red Sky Ranch  - strongly preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish - preferred

The budgeted range starts at 19.00 - 24.00.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
