This year, more than any before, people want to be outside, they want to escape, they want to feel the exhilaration and freedom our sport offers. Our vision for the upcoming winter season is to deliver that Experience of a Lifetime, and with safety as our top priority, aspects of both the employee and guest experience this season will be adjusted accordingly. What does that mean for you? As always, we are committing to employees that this season we will provide a safe, rewarding, connected Experience of a Lifetime, while also taking this opportunity to re-imagine the employee experience in light of COVID-19.


It takes the compassion, care and personal responsibility of everyone to help us ensure a safe mountain experience for all. With that in mind, we have reimagined the resort experience to further prioritize the health and safety of our employees in response to COVID-19. Safety has always been one of our core values and we invite you to learn more below about the new procedures and protocols being implemented with your safety in mind.


Be Safe and Do Right | Safety & Peace of Mind

All employees will begin their work experience by participating in comprehensive safety training.

Face coverings, physical distancing, daily health screenings and temperature checks will be mandatory.

We will have clear policies around physical distancing and provide appropriate sanitizing supplies throughout the workplace.

We are committed to ensuring our employees are trained and supported for effective guest interactions.

We will provide Emergency Sick Leave for up to two weeks, in-line with local requirements, for eligible employees who are required to miss work due to exposure to, or illness related to, COVID-19.

We will provide a structured support system for employees’ mental wellbeing through Epic Wellness.

We will continue to support employees by funding EpicPromise Foundation emergency grants in the event of a crisis situation.

Have Fun & Drive Value | Rewards & Development

We will staff the business based upon expected demand to allow Full-Time employees to have access to full time work.

We will continue to offer employee and dependent ski passes. Employees and their dependents will be given priority access to the mountain and will be exempt from the guest reservations system. (Subject to restrictions when there is limited terrain open).

We will provide employees discounted tickets for Friends and Family, which will have blackout periods and be subject to the reservation system.

We will continue to offer perks such as discounted food (including employee $5 meals), lodging discounts and retail discounts, subject to restrictions and blackout times.

We believe everyone at Vail Resorts is a leader. Never has this been more important and we will continue to offer robust leadership development programs and job-related training programs.
