The Team Lead is the daily operational leader and direct supervisor of an activity or activities.  The Team Lead is responsible for the operational direction of their area to include staffing, facility readiness, equipment maintenance, opening and closing procedures, guest experience etc. They will be responsible for directly monitoring the quality of overall activities operations, with a focus on safety, service, and expense management, and will make adjustments to the operation as needed to ensure exceptional service/experience delivery. They will be responsible for their area is in alignment with department, resort and company goals.

 

  • Guide and promote safety practices in their area while being responsible for organizing and conducting ongoing training.
  • Oversight of daily operations staff working with their Manager to communicate efforts for their area’s safety, operational efficiency, and expense management. Communicates purchasing needs to Manager and Coordinator.
  • Maintain operating procedures, inspection logs and safety standards for employees and guests. Distribute daily inspection forms to front line staff; collect, review, and sign off daily. Update Inspection form templates electronically.
  • Conduct daily meetings, address operations, and guest service needs by setting clear goals, role rotation, and objectives for staff.
  • Work with the Lead to continue projects, operational modifications, or initiatives on days off. 
  • Maintain and update schedules daily with days off requests, day trades, last day of work; managing the operation in order to achieve budget goals according to departmental guidelines.
  • Responsible for guest and employee safety and guest safety including compliance with state, federal, and industry regulatory operating requirements (ie. USFS, OSHA, ANSI, ASTM, ACCT, IAAPA, etc.).
  • Actively foresee, plan for, and mitigate any hazards or risks associated with their activity.
  • Work with their Leadership and Management Teams, Patrol/Medics, Lift Operations, and other key departments to keep our facilities and equipment maintained and in safe working order and to develop a positive working environment.
  • Ensure staff maintains uniform and professional grooming standards.
  • Complete performance appraisals and end of season forms; partner with their Manager to approve performance appraisals, disciplinary documentation, or assist with HR activity relating to their area.
  • Responsible for providing all immediate guest recovery in their area, sharing guest feedback with staff, and adjusting operations to best create the experience of a lifetime.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of Guest Service Experience
  • Min. 1 Year previous Leadership experience in a dynamic operational setting
  • Basic construction knowledge and ability to use hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) as well as manual excavation tools (shovel, pick, etc.)
  • Effective communication skills with both guests and staff
  • Team player and leader
  • Ability and willingness to perform demanding physical labor
    • Assist and lead the team’s snow removal efforts
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
    • Able to lift at least 50lbs
  • Basic computer skills.
