Department Overview:

The Mountain Information & Activities Agent is a highly visible, professional position which offers support to staff and guests.  This team works with almost every department across the mountain and is a resource for all other employees. .

 

We are a unique team that offers a dynamic, varied work environment with opportunity for development within the company and summer seasonal positions. This is a great position for starting out in the travel and leisure industry or for honing guest service skills in a new environment.

 

What does the Mountain Information team do?

We staff a call center which helps answer guest questions before, during, and after their vacations and assist in making reservations and providing general mountain information.  We also staff a sales location at the Peak 8 base area which specializes in private lessons and lift tickets/season pass sales.  Staff is expected to help every guest and employee who they come into contact with whether over the phone, via email, or in person. Agents must be comfortable working outside in winter conditions as our team also assists the Ticket Sales and Scanning teams with online order fulfillment and ticket scanning as needed and will be scheduled outside.

 

Agents are knowledgeable about all aspects of the ski resort and the town of Breckenridge.

 

We utilize customer manager, Guest Connect, data capture, call tracker, SharePoint, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office, and other minor applications. 

 

Who Do We Hire?

We are looking for team members who are passionate about Breckenridge, skiing/ snowboarding, the mountains, and offering our guests an experience of a lifetime.  Ideal candidates have two plus years of guest service experience in a high end hospitality, activity, or retail environment.  Team members must possess a strong moral compass, the ability to learn and react quickly to changing situations, a focused and efficient attention to detail, and the ability to take initiative in their job performance.  They are articulate, well spoken, and present themselves professionally.  We do hire candidates with different types of work experience and education if they demonstrate through their application and interview the ability to be successful in our work environment.

 

Additional Information:

  • In this position, you will work 3-4 days per week in the call center and 1-2 days per week in one of our sales offices.
    • Candidates must be comfortable working outside in winter conditions as our team also assists the Ticket Sales and Scanning teams with online order fulfillment and ticket scanning as needed and will be scheduled outside.
  • Most shifts are 7:40am-5:15pm, with 1 half day per week
  • We are open seven days per week, including holidays
  • We have start dates in September, October, November, and December (and throughout the rest of the season) and the manager will reach out with exact dates
    • We typically open for the ski season in early-mid November, at which point we will be open seven days per week. Before we open for the season, you will work only in the call center and we will be open only Monday-Friday.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.

 

The budgeted range starts at $21.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
