Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to lead our Grounds team at Breckenridge Resort, ensuring our property consistently reflects a world-class standard. This leadership role is ideal for a skilled heavy equipment operator with a strong background in snow removal and the ability to work confidently in variable winter conditions.The Assistant Manager will spend approximately 80–90% of their time outdoors,working hands-on alongside the crew to maintain the resort’s appearance and functionality.This position is responsible for supervising a team of 5–7 Grounds team members and reports directly to the Transportation Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment in winter environments
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Commitment to safety, efficiency, and high-quality standards
  • Ability to thrive in physically demanding, outdoor conditions
  • Daily checks of the facilities and operators
  • Oversight of third-party janitorial services
  • Resort-wide sustainability training & initiatives
  • Trash removal & waste diversion
  • Landscaping and summer setup/teardown
  • Supplies and equipment purchasing
  • Time and labor management

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years related maintenance, snow removal, or management experience.
  • Familiar with snowplows and some level of heavy machinery operation.
  • Prior leadership and supervisory experience leading people.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Effective and efficient conflict resolution skills.
  • Solid administrative and computer skills.
  • Experience with work order or asset management software.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor with an emphasis on relationships and team leadership.
  • Committed to quality, teamwork, and safety.
  • Valid driver’s license.

 

The expected pay range is $58,461-$69,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
