The Village at Breckenridge is located steps away from the base of Peak 9 in the heart of downtown Breckenridge. The Village consists of five buildings surrounding a central plaza with privately owned condominium units, ranging from studios to four bedrooms, operating as rental units on behalf of the owners when they are not staying on property themselves!

 

Job Summary:

The Assistant Front Office Manager manages all operational activities of the hotel's front office to provide the highest standards of courteous service while meeting and exceeding profit levels. Communicates effectively in writing and verbally to provide direction to staff. Observes performance and encourages improvement. Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, evaluates, counsels, and administers progressive disciplinary procedures for front office staff. Ensure that the Vail Resorts brand standards are met. Interacts positively with guests and takes action to resolve issues to the satisfaction of guest/Resort. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains high Vail Resorts standards throughout daily assignment and assists the front desk agents and supervisors in doing the same.
  • Responsible for the following departments: front desk, concierge, PBX, and bell/valet
  • Coordinates, administers, and contributes input to required meetings, including monthly departmental meeting.
  • Sets standard for the staff: upholding the requirements of Vail Resorts as well as standards communicated by executive management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll administration.
  • Assist in departmental scheduling to meet business needs.
  • Communicates effectively and immediately any situations which may require management assistance.
  • Coordinates VIP recognition and room assignments.
  • Takes immediate corrective action when guests' needs are not met
  • Assists in emergency and security procedures as directed by the employee manual and the established emergency plan.
  • Creates and maintains scripting standards and guidelines for guest interactions.
  • Accurate monthly forecasting of department expenses
  • Reviews daily revenue reports for posting accuracy.
  • Acts as MOD when necessary.
  • Ensures all training requirements are being met 100% at the Front Desk & Guest Service.
  • Completes delegated tasks and projects; assists other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand.
  • Ensures agents complete their daily checklists
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications:

Required:

  • 1+ years guest or front office management or supervisory experience at a property of similar size and quality 
  • Valid US Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings 
  • Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours 

Preferred:

  • College Degree

 

The budgeted range starts at $40,500 - $46,250.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
