Job Summary

The Assistant Manager will work with Activities Managers and Team Leads to plan, development and execute the overall operational training efforts for the department. They will also provide activity area operational coverage, and Manager on Duty (MOD) and other administrative duties as needed. The Asst. Manager will work with other departments to implement activities operating procedures; ensuring exceptional service/experience delivery, service recovery, and overall safe operation of activities while working in the operation.

Job Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with department Managers, maintain the training programs for staff related to guest service, daily operations, and emergency response that meet all applicable codes and regulations.
  • Collect and organize training assessments of front line staff including all documentation. Work with the coordinator to update and organize employee training files
  • Guide and promote safety practices in all areas, also responsible for assisting with ongoing training in all areas.
  • Responsible for guest and employee safety and guest safety including compliance with state, federal, and industry regulatory operating requirements (ie. USFS, OSHA, ANSI, ASTM, ACCT, IAAPA, etc.)
  • Support Managers and Team Leads in incident/accident investigations.
  • Work with their Leadership and Management Teams, Patrol/Medics, Lift Operations and other key departments to keep our facilities and equipment maintained and in safe working order and to develop a positive working environment.
  • Work with Team Leads to conduct and document progressive coaching and discipline conversations with staff according to protocol.
  • Provide a connection with HR to ensure employee matters are handled appropriately in a timely manner in the department.
  • Assisting with the coordination of audits through key channels inside and outside the organization. (ie. H&S, Legal, Third Party Inspector, ect.)

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 Years previous Leadership experience in a dynamic operational setting
  • Guest services experience
  • Staff management, guest service recovery, time and labor, scheduling, working at height, adhere to grooming standards
  • Leading emergency response, small equipment operation, experience in a leadership role relating to the outdoor recreation, amusement, or hospitality operations industries.

 

The expected pay range is $56,485 - $60,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
