Job Summary:

The Breckenridge Resort Security Officer regularly patrols all resort properties in order to mitigate Security, Fire, and Life Safety situations. The successful candidate will possess excellent judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills and will thrive working individually or as part of a diverse team. Resort Security officers work closely with police, fire, and medical agencies during investigations, prevention efforts, and training.

Job Specifications:  

• Expected Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.49 / hour
• Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full Time, Year Round
• Skill Level: Advanced  

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Maintains a daily log of all activities throughout the shift.
• Maintains key and access control of Vail Properties & mountain road access gates.

Job Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record- required.
• Experience in dealing with emergencies.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office - required.
• Ability to work on your feet for up to 10 hours in a high-altitude mountain environment in inclement weather- required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs- required.
• At least 2 years of security experience – preferred.
• At least 2 years hospitality guest service experience in a resort setting – preferred.
• Professional writing experience – preferred.
• Strong communication skills with a variety of staff and guests- required.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace- required.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

The expected pay range is $22.00 - $25.49. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
