Job Summary:

The Golf Professional staff is seeking a First Assistant Professional to enhance the member/guest experience at Red Sky Golf Club. This candidate should demonstrate the ability to excel in a team environment and lead by example daily. Our club is interested in candidates who ambitiously pursue professional and personal development, detail oriented, value high service levels, and bring a fun and engaging attitude to the position. Candidates should actively engage with members, guests, and staff to create the ultimate experience across the property. This position is intended to be an assistant manager, ensuring a high-level of golf and management knowledge.

 

Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the management and execution of club tournaments, weekly games, club run activities, and day to day items around the facilities.
  • Assist in directing and managing the golf shop and outside services team in the execution of all daily operations tasks and duties.
  • Conducts oneself in a professional manner and maintains a professional image, while upholding/enforcing members and staff to the policies of the club, at all times.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to create an “Experience of a Lifetime.”
  • Assisting the Merchandiser with all responsibilities within our golf shop operations.
  • Play golf with members in an effort to display playing ability and build relationships with the membership.
  • Help in the management of the membership and guest handicaps on a daily basis.
  • Able to properly mark the golf course, enforce golf rules, speak in public, and facilitate a professional environment for all golf events.
  • Proficient in working with Golf Genius, Jonas POS, Visage, Microsoft Office, and other forms of club wide communication.
  • Supporting our Head Golf Professional with the caddie program, tee sheet management, cart fleet maintenance, pace of play, and any additional duties/responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Class A PGA Membership in good standing is preferred,although candidates enrolled within the PGA Associate Program will be considered.
  • High-end club experience of at least 4 years is preferred.
  • Exhibits professionalism, cleanliness, exceptional customer service, and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills; working with Microsoft Office programs to create documents, verbiage, and other items for the club.
  • Strong playing ability and able to play with golfers of all skill levels.
  • Teaching abilities to structure and execute golf lessons and clinics.
  • Striving to become a Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf, or General Manager and willing to work in a team environment.
  • Consistent positive attitude, upbeat personality, and passion for the game of golf.
  • Continuous learning and development within the game of golf and for personal growth.
  • Public speaking and being comfortable holding members and staff to the club policies and rules.

 

 

The expected pay range is $55,000 - $60,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
