The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, supporting, and executing key marketing initiatives to enhance Beaver Creek Resort’s visibility, engagement, and economic success. This role involves driving strategic alignment on marketing efforts, managing vendor partnerships, overseeing content strategy and updates, and managing in-resort communications with key audiences and stakeholders. The Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in organizing marketing activities, developing and managing economic development initiatives, and maintaining cohesion with the overall marketing vision.

  • The budgeted range starts at $76,841 - $100,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Economic Development, the primary duties of the Marketing Manager are as follows:

  • In-Resort Marketing Strategy & Implementation
    • Lead the development and execution of in-resort marketing tactics to engage guests and enhance their experience.
    • Oversee the creation and placement of on-site signage, digital displays, and other promotional materials to showcase events, activities, and offers.
    • Manage real-time communication channels, including app notifications and newsletters, to inform guests of resort updates and opportunities.
    • Monitor and optimize the effectiveness of in-resort marketing efforts through guest feedback, data analysis, and reporting.
    • Ensure all in-resort marketing aligns with the overall brand vision and enhances guest satisfaction.
  • Vendor Partnership Management
    • Manage relationships and drive success with key partners and vendors, including Vail Resorts Marketing, Vail Resorts PR/Communications, and BCRC advertising, PR, Media agencies, and marketing contractors.
    • Coordinate and lead meetings, document action items, and ensure accountability for deliverables from vendors and partners.
    • Execution of collaborative projects, such as:
      • Marketing campaigns.
      • Media and influencer hosting partnerships.
      • Social media content strategy, posts, blogs, and content capture.
      • Serve as the main point of contact for Beavercreek.com updates related to BCRC.
  • Digital Content Management
    • Oversee content updates for Beavercreek.com, BCRC website, BC app, and other digital platforms.
    • Ownership and management the digital asset management platform.
  • Reporting & Insights
    • Compile, summarize, and distribute regular reports, including:
      • Competitive set news updates, Destimetrics reports, macro and industry trends, regional trends, assessment trends, and real estate reports.
      • Work with Director of Economic Development to generate and include actionable insights from these reports.
  • Team Leadership
    • Manage and develop the Communications Coordinator, optimizing the resources of this role.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Organize, support, and present at key meetings, such as Marketing Committee meetings, merchant meetings, and Economic Advisory Committee (EAC) meetings.
  • Economic Development Initiatives
    • Lead the development, distribution, and vetting of Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
    • Manage vendors to ensure:
      • Alignment on deliverables.
      • Timely execution and adherence to budgets.
      • Proper invoice processing, financial tracking, and reporting.
      • Foster collaboration among vendors, staff, and initiative stakeholders.
      • Ensure all initiatives maintain concept integrity and align with the overall marketing vision.
  • Program Ownership
    • Oversee and manage ongoing systems and programs established through economic development initiatives, such as:
      • Guest insights programs.
      • Data capture, analytics, and CRM systems.

 

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of experience in marketing/communications.
  • Proven ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Strong track record of effective multi-vendor management (both ongoing and project-based).
  • Proficiency with social media, newsletters, and other channels used by BCRC
  • Exceptional written communication skills and a commitment to self-development.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Must reside in Eagle County and possess a personal vehicle.
  • Able to work weekends and holidays as needed.

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $76,841 - $100,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
