Job summary:
The essential function of this job is to provide administrative support to the Beaver Creek Skier Services team including: Director, Managers, Supervisors, Instructors and Employees in Skier Services.
Job Specifications:
- Starting Wage: $23.22/hr - $35.35/hr
- Employment Type: Year Round (11-month)
- Shift Type: Full Time hours available
- Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure all administrative needs of the department are met such as ordering, data entry, filing and staff communications, maintain staff files
- Manage recruitment and onboarding process, including participation in recruitment, hiring and onboarding tasks
- Manage payroll, timekeeping entry, auditing and ensuring timely corrections for discrepancies
- Manage and maintain compliance during onboarding, in-season, offboarding, and separation processes.
- Provide internal guest service/resource for Skier Services leadership and staff
- Train staff on payroll functions and systems
- Promote and maintain organization and cleanliness of Ski and Snowboard School administrative offices
- Assist employees with questions regarding HR related issues maintaining confidentiality when working with sensitive information. Assisting with self-navigation through self-service human resource systems.
- Effectively manage admin team to support department systems and functions
- Coordinating and distributing weekly newsletter
- Support the training manager and the training department, assisting the training manager with daily functions (payroll, tracking, and maintaining data entries)
- Provide ongoing communication with Skier Services staff (Newsletters, tracking, reports, Instructor Website, etc.)
- Responsible to acquire working knowledge of systems (Microsoft Office, Workday, ServiceNow, ProConnect, DirectConnect, Share Point, Coupa, etc...)
- Assist the Sr. Director of Skier Services and their leadership team as needed•
- Assist Ski & Snowboard locations with daily operations as needed
- Serve as an ambassador for the Ski School Function in the MyEpic app and Lesson Connect
- Role model and bring to life the company's values of; Serve Others, Do Right, Drive Value, Do Good, Be Safe, Be Inclusive and Have Fun
- Supervise Skier Servies admin team year-round and seasonal staff
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications
- Able to work weekends
- Able to work holidays
- Must be able to multi-task and work through interruptions
- Must have office experience
- Must have guest service experience
- 1-3 years of resort experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English fluently
Preferred:
- PSIA/AASI certification
- Able to communicate in Spanish
- RPOS & ProConnect proficiency
- Workday proficiency
- Knowledge of Vail Resorts Ski and Snowboard School operations
The expected pay range is $23.22/hr - $35.35/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
