Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Train and supervise lift operators
  • Oversee all daily operations of the lift
  • Assist lift operators in the morning pre-operational setup of all lifts, including snow removal, ramp maintenance, setting up the lift line maze
  • Provide breaks to lift operators
  • Ensure all shut-down procedures are followed to ensure passengers are not left on lift and that lift is ready to operate the following morning.
  • Assist in the maintenance of lift load and unload ramps throughout the day
  • Print, file and ensure proper completion of daily operations logs
  • Assist Lift Maintenance staff to ensure reliable operation of lifts
  • Handle and respond to customer complaints
  • Ensure cleanliness of lift buildings and other work areas
  • Perform all tasks of a Lift Operator


Job Requirements: 

  • Good work ethic, dependability and excellent customer service & communication skills
  • Familiarity with lift operations and the ski industry in general
  • Leadership qualities and a respect for staff
  • Ability to operate all of Afton Alps ski lifts
  • Education: High school diploma required
  • Work Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in lift operations at Afton Alps (preferred) or another ski resort
  • Supervisory Experience: Prior supervisory experience helpful
  • Licenses/Accreditations: Valid driver’s license to drive company vehicles (snowmobiles, trucks, ect)
  • Schedule Requirements: 35-48 hours per week
