Job Summary:
Whistler Kids Dispatch Coordinators work in an indoor environment supporting our Whistler Kids ski/snowboard school operations.
Job Specifications:
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate our mission; create the experience of a lifetime for our employees, so they in turn can provide exceptional experiences for our guests
- Receive calls from staff reporting injuries & separated children in our programs
- Collect information regarding the nature, location & severity of each injury
- Collect information required to track children in our flaik GPS system
- Ensures transport of injured child to the Clinic
- Organize Den staff to meet or accompany children to the Clinic/appropriate base
- Locate & inform parents of injured children, and organize them to meet up with their child either on the hill or at the Clinic
- Communicate situations to other departments as well as Snow School staff to ensure adequate resources are allocated to the situation
- Working with the WB Patrol to ensure the best results for our children & instructors when in crisis.
- Tracking & organizing daily statistics; injuries & instructors involved
- Complete accurate records of all incidents
- Responsible for daily incident reports sent to Whistler Kids Leadership Team
- Maintain cohesive, consistent communication between moving parts in our operation
- Adapt to varied work environment & pace - use your critical & creative thinking every day
- Support the scheduling administrative team & Snow School Supervisors during periods of high volume
- Discover four key mountain ‘emotions’ – Feeling Happy, Relaxed, Safe & Excited!
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure, carry out multi-tasking duties & remain calm & alert at all times
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, ability to work well as part of a diverse team
- Computer proficiency skills
- Must be able to make decisions quickly & independently
- Familiar with radio protocol an asset
- Knowledge of Whistler Blackcomb terrain & Mountain operations a vital asset
- Proof of clear criminal record check
- Dispatch or first aid knowledge an asset
