As Senior Product Marketing Specialist you will develop, implement and evaluate all aspects of the marketing strategy and programs for the rental and retail division of Whistler Blackcomb. Through your organizational skills you will ensure all projects assigned to you are on time, on budget and are consistent with the Whistler Blackcomb brand.  Your ability to collaborate and build positive relationships with internal departments, agencies and other stakeholders will be key to successfully managing your projects.   



  • Marketing Plan: Develop, implement and evaluate strategic marketing plans for driving revenue for the rental and retail divisions in both winter and summer, as well as manage/oversee the budget for these respective areas. Present marketing plan to divisions and meet on a regular basis to evaluate plan, based on analytics.
  • In-Resort Marketing: Coordinate the development and production of all marketing collateral and deliverables for the assigned divisions listed above. 
  • Digital: Develop and define the digital presence of rental and retail, where appropriate.  Digital presence = web site, search engine, display, print, and social media.
  • Program Analysis/Customer Insights: Measure and track marketing initiatives and continue to tweak and enhance the marketing plan to drive division goals. Share results with the resort and centralized marketing team and key stakeholders within the resort. 
  • Budget: Manage assigned division marketing budgets.  Track and manage marketing budget.
  • Teams:  Work directly with assigned divisions, and other marketing team members as required.  Work with external agencies and creative resources to develop and implement marketing initiatives.
  • Guest Focus: Maintain a guest focused approach with the goal to drive division and WB goals. Understand who the customer is.
  • Privacy Policy: all activities adhere to the Canadian Privacy Legislation and all other International Privacy Policies.
  • Professional Development/Training Program: Work through Marketing training and external training to maintain leadership and marketing skills. Develop an expertise in CRM (database marketing) and SEM.
  • Other projects as determined by the Senior Marketing Manager and Resort Marketing Director.



  • University degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or Commerce.
  • Minimum 1 year marketing experience.
  • Experience in the tourism, resort industry and/or ski industry an asset.
  • Experience in all channels of online and offline marketing. 
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to interact with others.
  • Experience with ad agencies an asset.  Knowledge of Whistler Blackcomb an asset.
  • Effective verbal and written communication on all levels and both internally and externally.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, an ability to multi-task.
