Job Summary:

Ticket Scanners are responsible for greeting each guest, scanning every ticket and verifying that each guest has a valid product to access the mountain. This is a 100% outdoor position. Ticket Scanners maintain a professional, positive and supportive work environment that enables a strong cohesive team to ensure an "experience of a lifetime" for all guests.  This is achieved through focus on quality control, training and staff performance through development and teamwork, communication, guest relations, administrative duties and self-development.

 

Job Responsibilities (but not limited to): 

  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all products, department objectives, and scanning processes 
  • Cultivating a friendly, fun, team environment for the experience of a lifetime for fellow employees and guests 
  • Scanning lift tickets, and passes 
  • Providing friendly and helpful guest service 
  • Ensuring accuracy of lift passes and tickets 
  • Immediate notification of incorrect pass/product use to the leader on duty
  • Participating in department activities and service initiatives
  • Flexibility in moving around locations and job duties.
    • Additional job duties may include; street team/greeting, lunch-break coverage in all scanning areas and ELTP (electronic lift ticket pick-up).

 

 

Required qualifications 

  • Willingness to train and work in multiple departments. This role is partnered with Lift Operations where you will be expected to be fully trained and expected to work in both areas
  • Willingness to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays  
  • Ability to stay enthusiastic and perform well when busy.
  • Ability to work outside, on your feet, in all weather conditions for long period of time.
  • Willingness to work 35 to 40 hours per week (full-time)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English  
  • Ability to pick up additional shifts depending on business volumes
  • Accountability, responsibility, and punctuality 
  • Enthusiasm, with an engaging personality and exceptional communication skills 
  • Ability to maintain a professional presence in the workplace and adhere to our appearance standards 
  • High understanding of the importance of Safety in the workplace

  

Preferred qualifications 

  • High school diploma  
  • Ability to stand without sitting for extended periods of time
