What you’ll be doing:

  • Continually strive to exceed our Guest’s expectations and to create memories for guests and staff as the best mountain experience again and again.
  • Deliver prompt first aid to Whistler Blackcomb employees who have suffered a workplace injury.
  • Differentiate between treatment at work and referral to medical aid.
  • Facilitate initial steps in Whistler Blackcomb’s Return to Work program.
  • Support employees and supervisors in assigning safe modified/light duties.
  • Be familiar with available modified duties at Whistler Blackcomb.
  • Refer employees to medical clinics other than Whistler Health Care Centre where appropriate.
  • Coordinate transport of injured persons to appropriate facility if needed.
  • Complete comprehensive First Aid reports.
  • Follow up with injured workers after treatment.
  • Liaise with Employee Claims Team and Supervisors to inform them of any further developments.
  • Potential to treat minor walk-in injured guests and non-workplace injury employees.


When not treating patients:

  • Support Employee Claims Team in administrative tasks, including filing and data entry
  • Produce tracking reports on patients treated, nature of injury and actions taken
  • Support Supervisors in timely completion of Accident Investigations
  • Aid in the review of Annual First Aid Assessments
  • Maintain stock of First Aid room

  • Always show up on time, in uniform, and adhere to the grooming policy!

  • Valid Level III Occupational First Aid certification
  • Additional medical or First Aid training an asset
  • Previous first aid experience preferred
  • Experience in ski industry and Whistler Blackcomb operation an asset
  • Ability to complete additional training from WorkSafeBC re: Return to Work
  • Required to complete a satisfactory criminal record check
  • Must possess a valid BC driver license
