Job Summary:
Teddy Bear Daycare is a small centre that accepts 16 children per day offering a wide variety of learning experiences. You will be working with a team of up to 4 staff, supporting them in all of the daily routines throughout the day including registration, planning curriculum, engaging the children, preparation of meals, taking reservations and sales, cleaning, and guest service. You will be helping to create memories for the children in the community of Whistler. You will be working with families within the community and supporting growth and change.
Job Specifications:
- Expected Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.03 / hour
- Shift & Schedule Availability: Part Time, Year Round
- We require 16+ hours of support a week and coverage for sick and vacation days
- Shifts vary between 4 - 9.5 hours
- Skill Level: Advanced
Job Responsiblities
- To supervise a group of children between the ages of 2.5 and 5 years in our licensed facility. To program a variety of activities including outdoor activities, story time, arts and crafts, free play, circle time, snacks and lunch, diapering and toileting, and nap time.
- To communicate with the parents on a daily basis.
- To work productively in a team of up to 4 staff.
- To be knowledgeable about all of our Teddy Bear Daycare Policies and Procedures.
- To help maintain the general daily tidiness of the facility.
- To attend all mandatory training sessions
- To be familiar with all Whistler Kids programs, prices, locations and times.
- To complete relevant documentation regarding the children’s experiences during special activities
- To help create and organize age appropriate curriculum to engage the children.
- Complete monthly documentation on your focus children
Job Requirements:
- Own housing is required prior to applying
- Even tempered, creative and love working with children.
- Must hold a valid ECE license or ECA license recognized by the province of BC or Responsible Adult Certificate.
- Must hold a valid First Aid Certificate that is recognized by the Licensing Regulations.
- Must have a minimum age of 19 years old.

- Experience working with children and references to support
