Job Summary

The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager is a hard-working, dedicated and enthusiastic individual who assists the General Manager in overseeing and running the daily operations of one of Whistler Blackcomb’s high-volume quick serve or full serve restaurants.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Experience of a Lifetime to our guests and employees
  • Responsible for leading a team of supervisors and front-line staff including onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, disciplinary action, one on ones, conducting employee reviews and development
  • Deliver and lead a culture of epic guest service, resolve any guest issues or complaints and is accountable for Guest Experience (GX) scores
  • Leads a culture of safety, and ensures all safety training is delivered, completed and tracked for all team members. Participates in all company-wide safety initiatives and is accountable to all safety metrics
  • Runs the daily floor operations including duty assignments, delivering pre-shift meetings, task auditing, break coverage, speed of service and guest relations
  • Administrative duties including, scheduling, payroll, ordering and inventory
  • Fill in where needed in a variety of positions including, bussing, cashier, barista, merchandising, food station server and dishwashing
  • Accountable for maintaining high cleaning standards and compliance to all Food Safe regulations
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, provincial and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests. 


Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of restaurant experience with at least one year at a managerial level. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Must be able to lift and carry 40+ lbs. 
  • Must be fluent in English. 
  • Must have excellent leadership, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills. 
  • Must be aware of safety and sanitation guidelines. 
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays including; Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, December 26th through January 4th, Presidents’ Day Weekend, and any other holidays as requested.  
  • BC Serving it Right Certification
