Job Summary:

The Base Area Ops Department is looking for a motivated individual to join our team, and help us maintain the plazas and facilities at the base of the mountains. This job impacts and strives to make a great first impression on our guests as they arrive to our mountains. The Base Area Attendants take care of the base areas; including but not limited to, maintaining grounds cleanliness, cleaning, minor maintenance, and help where needed.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $21.50/hr - $26.88/hr
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age 
  • Housing Availability: Yes

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining building cleanliness, washroom cleaning, garbage and recycling bins and removing heavy bags to our collection facilities.
  • Sweeping and litter control of all WB outdoor areas.
  • Able to use and operate power brooms, pressure washers, backpack vacuums, snow and other cleaning equipment.
  • Maintaining parking lots and base area zones.
  • Cleaning and maintaining all trash/recycling receptacles throughout the base areas.
  • Adherence to all safety and operational policies & procedures. Ensuring the safe use and operation of equipment and supplies.
  • Ensuring all areas of access are locked and armed after use.  And reporting any areas or issues that are suspicious or not up to standard. 
  • To maintain the highest levels of security and to report all incidents regarding theft, equipment abuse, and disregard for any Whistler Blackcomb policies and property.
  • Responsible for all equipment (including cleaning of equipment) and supplies. Ensure that closets are clean, neat, and stocked.
  • We are a company that works together and throughout the season you may be required to assist other departments as needed.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Cleaning experience is not required but would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Whistler Blackcomb resort an asset but not required
  • Demonstrate a high attention to detail.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions and in varying terrain.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • Strong initiative, problem solving, and open communication skills an asset.
  • Able to work 4x10 hour days.

The expected pay range is $21.50/hr - $26.88/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
