Job Summary:
The Senior Event Manager at The Hythe, Vail plays a critical role in managing and executing our largest group accounts, delivering exceptional, high-impact events that drive guest satisfaction, revenue, and brand reputation. As part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection, this position is instrumental in curating distinctive, memorable experiences that reflect the property’s unique character and world-class service standards. 

Job Specifications:
  • Starting Wage: $ 70,944.80 - $ 93,494.73 + Revenue incentive-based bonus plan 

  • Employment Type: Year Round  

  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available 

  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age  

  • Housing Availability: No  

 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Ownership over monthly catering forecast with a focus on accuracy.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching and developing event team administrative assistant.
  • Responsible for planning and execution of our largest and most valuable group accounts achieving a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Creating and distributing detailed, accurate and timely Banquet Event Orders and Group Resumes.
  • Coordinate with resort leadership team to execute large and complex programs.
  • Work with the Event Management team to drive continuous improvement and align with Marriott programs and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Job Requirements: 
  • College degree preferred with emphasis in Business Administration, sales, hospitality or related field.
  • Minimum three years in hospitality Sales or Events related function
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex correspondence. Ability to effectively present detailed information both verbally and in written form to employees, managers, executives and guests.
  • Knowledge of contract management and legalities
  • Ability to manage guest room and meeting space inventories

 

The expected pay range is $ 70,944.80 - $ 93,494.73 + Revenue incentive-based bonus plan. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
