Job Summary:
As the Lead Lift Dispatcher at Vail Mountain, you will coordinate the communication during lift opening and closing to ensure a smooth on-time opening/closing of the resort to the public, and keep key personnel within the resort informed of progress and anticipated delays, as well as coordinates all emergency response situations that may arise throughout daily operations. You will log all lift stoppages, report and communicate all information to appropriate departments, as well as alert proper management of all lift down time.

 

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Expected Pay Range: $20.74 - $25.40 / hour 

  • Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full Time, Year Round 

  • Skill Level: Lead 


Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Relay communications regarding down lifts to maintenance personnel and also guest services, ski patrol, ticket office, and any other departments.
  • Answer a multitude of telephone and radio calls; determine nature of calls; refer to appropriate department or personnel.
  • Act as the main communication between Lift Operations and Lift Maintenance.
  • Monitor weather and covey lift updates such as, lift open/closures.
  • Perform clerical tasks related to department operations like tracking maintenance work orders, auditing and filing timesheets and lift logs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations set forth by the CPTSB through record/log keeping, incident reports, and licensing.
  • Update and maintain lift records.


Job Requirements:

  • Capable of performing lift operator role.
  • Intermediate ski or snowboard ability.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn a wide variety of information about department operations quickly.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and calmly in emergency situations.

 

The expected pay range is $20.74 - $25.40. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
