Job Summary:
Do you want to spend your day having fun and interacting with kids? This job is an integral part of the Children's Ski and Ride School experience. You will help with getting kids out on the snow, keeping them fueled up during breaks and lunch and making their experience memorable during all the moments when they are not skiing or riding. This is a great way to work toward an instructor position if your skiing/riding skills aren’t quite there yet. This is also a great job for someone who wants to work with children in a fun environment but does not want to ski or snowboard as part of their job.

Job Responsibilities:
- Keeping yourself and your guests SAFE at all times and in all situations.
- Providing exceptional guest service at all times; sharing your passion for working with kids.
- Assist in operational responsibilities of Ski & Ride School programs, including but not limited to: food prep, registration process, directing guests to appropriate locations, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas and cleanliness of indoor facilities.
- Provide an excellent experience for guests of all ages.
- Prepare snacks and lunch for children in Ski and Ride School.
- Assist in accommodating children with food allergies and/or special needs.
- Assist children who are tired, feel ill, or are unwilling to participate in lessons.
- Contact/communicate with guardian(s) regarding the status of their child.
- Accurately assist guests and staff with procedures and processes while organizing children.
- Ensure that guests are equipped appropriately (fitting and adjusting equipment) and working with instructors/supervisors and managers to make changes when necessary.
- Supervise children both outside during lessons as necessary and inside the children's center.
- Facilitate child security and the return of children to identified guardian(s).
- Display positive and effective communication with other attendants and instructors.
- Works with instructors to ensure proper timing for snacks, meals, laundry, etc.
- Prepares age appropriate meals for children ages 3 years to 13 years with adherence to allergies and special needs.
- Work with Managers and Admin to create weekly and monthly meal plans and create orders for necessary food and supplies.
- Keeps refrigerator clean, organized and stocked appropriately.
- Cleans and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways daily
- Washes bathrooms, cleans toilet, and cleans mirrors, sinks and walls in order to have clean and sanitary restrooms daily.
- Washes all hard floor areas to remove dirt and soiled areas.
- Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings including using a duster to reach vents and ceiling corners to remove dust and cobwebs.
- Vacuums Kid’s room, staff break areas and locker room as necessary.
- Ability to lift/move heavy furniture such as kids tables and chairs.
- Replaces towels, soaps, toilet paper, seat covers and all other kids’ center and bathroom amenities as needed.

Job Requirements:
- High School or Equivalent Education - required
- Must be 18 years of age or older – required
- Previous experience in a leadership role - required
- Previous guest service experience - required
- Previous experience in Early Childhood Education or Children's Food Programs – preferred
- Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring - preferred
- Ability to work weekends and holidays - required
- Ability to commit to working through to the end of the winter season (mid April 2025) - required
- Ability to work directly with young children and a minimum of 3 years previous experience with children - highly preferred
- Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions - required
- Ability to stand for long periods - required
- Successful completion of the Background check – required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Excel / – required
- Ability to acquire working knowledge of new software systems quickly - required
- Ability to communicate in Spanish - preferred
- Knowledge of skiing/snowboarding equipment - preferred
The expected pay range is $22.00- $23.76. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
