Job Summary: 

Vail Mountain Club is one of eight Vail Resorts private clubs located at the base of Vail Mountain in the heart of Vail Village where members and their guests enjoy parking amenities coupled with unique recreational and social privileges. The Club is designed to provide the ultimate in convenience to experience the finest that the Vail community has to offer. The Club Activities Specialist reports to the Events and Front Desk Manager. This is a full time, yearround position responsible for creating memorable experiences for Vail Mountain Club children and families, as well as assisting the Manager with other events. The Club Activities Specialist supports the Club's Front Desk with concierge and other duties, and other departments as needed.

Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute activities geared towards the Club’s younger members, including summer and winter holiday parties, holiday charitable giving program, activities during weekly Wine & Cheese socials.
• Assist Manager with other events as required.
• Assist with the marketing of Club events, including email newsletters, promotional flyers, the Club website.
• Maintain Club photo library.
• Support the Front Desk with concierge and other duties. including answering and directing phone calls, maintaining a daily log of Club happenings, issuing ski passes, allocating guest locker rentals, keeping the lounge and locker room ship-shape.
• Knowledge of Club membership plan and policies
• Maintain confidentiality of all Members. • Assist in all areas of Club operations as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Strong communication and inter-personal skills
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Ability to multitask while ensuring attention to detail
• Willingness to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Confidence to handle guest complaints and questions in a calm manner.

Job Requirements:

• College education
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Experience: 

• Club and event planning
• Experience working with children
• Knowledge of Vail Resorts and the Vail Valley
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CANVA publishing, GUEST CONNECT, CLUBHOUSE ONLINE website, EMMA email marketing, ALICE concierge tracking.

The expected pay range is $22.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
