Job Summary
To develop and manage various member services including but not limited to events and activities achievable for all member abilities. The purpose of the Arrabelle Club is to provide a place for members to gather, meet one another, and participate in various activities and events in the Club and in the Vail Valley.

Job Responsibilities:
- To develop, market, manage, and staff club events and activities. The development of the bulk of events and activities should take place before the beginning of the summer and winter seasons to allow for publication in the semi-annual Calendar.
- Staffing/hosting/managing events and activities requires schedule flexibility to accommodate the various days and times of the activities and events.
- Develop events that meet the interests and abilities of the membership.
- Marketing events to maximize participation. Member participation is essential to an events success.
- Managing events to maximize the purpose of the event (typically for members to have fun and to interact with other members). Event management includes creating communications for the event, educating the staff regarding the events, creating an information & sign up book for all of the season’s events and activities and obtaining liability releases for necessary activities.
- Train any club staff and run the front desk during winter in regards to ski retrieval (computer and radio calls) for all members on a daily basis.
- To develop additional member services as the club matures, establishing activities for all ages and abilities.
- Event, activity and member services development requires building relationships with the members and local businesses and services. The member relationship will give insight into member needs. The vendor relationships will help to meet the member needs at an advantage to the member.
- Maintain a professional yet approachable high profile relationship with the club members. Balance between socializing with members and their families while working the activities and events is an important focus for this position.
- Must be knowledgeable of Arrabelle Club policies and procedures and be able to fill in as needed.
- Assist with member inquiries regarding their Arrabelle Club account and all billing. This may involve research and verbal and/or written follow up.
- Extensive knowledge of the Arrabelle Club Rules and Regulations is required both for sharing this knowledge with others and enforcing the Rules and Regulations.
- Assist with potential members and new member inquiries regarding membership.
- Maintain a cohesive and symbiotic relationship with the Arrabelle Hotel staff.
- Operate all office equipment, communication equipment, and Company systems- (including but not limited to Windows, Excel, Publisher, Jonas, Direct Connect, Emma, Guest Connect, CHOL and Jupiter Sports name plate machine).
- Interface with members of Corporate and Executive Management, other support departments and other VRI Employees while maintaining a cohesive and symbiotic relationship with them.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all Club Members and VRI information and actions.
- Maintain the Jonas database in a consistent, accurate and thorough manner and be able to generate necessary reports.
- Maintain accurate files for billing of members for all activities.
- Correspond with Club Accounting in regards to accurate billing inquiries of member accounts and miscellaneous charges for the membership base.
- Manage and administer the refunding of member/guest erroneous charges through Jonas.
- Assist in the training of the desk staff in regards to activities and membership information.
- Order, inventory and market Arrabelle Club retail items.
- Continue to develop, manage, and update the Arrabelle Club website in conjunction with the Membership Services Manager to stay current.
- Develop, write and distribute the Arrabelle Club Weekly e-mail updates.
- Close and audit Jonas and Guest Connect systems daily.
- Assist in vendor payment and billing inquiries through Coupa/Peoplesoft Financials.
- Participate in the daily “Manager on Duty” shift schedule for the Arrabelle Club.
- Provide any additional administrative duties to the Club Director and other club staff as required including, but not limited to, the development of documents, the sending of mailings, training on computer systems and software.

Job Requirements:
- Previous private Club experience is desired. An enthusiastic, animated, outgoing yet detailed oriented personality is required. Effective, knowledgeable, communication skills must be at a high level. A general working knowledge of the Vail Valley, as well as a personal, genuine interest in the culture, and sport of alpine skiing, and related year-round, mountain resort activities and events is preferred.
- Training in Jonas, RPOS, Emma, CHOL, Direct Connect, Guest Connect, Publisher, Microsoft Excel, Coupa Word, and website required.
- College Level or associate degree preferred
- A highly organized person capable of handling a large volume of detailed and multidimensional tasks, ability to prioritize workload, self-starter!
- Physical job requirements: Be able to participate, enthusiastically in club activities ranging from skiing (Level 7) to hiking, and biking, to assisting in organizing on mountain activities, to hosting exclusive club social functions.
The expected pay range is $56,485 - $65,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
