Job Summary:

True North at The Hythe, is looking for a dedicated, retail and rental focused individual to join our team. Basic job duties will include but not limited to assisting Store Manager in leading staff of about 30 employees, managing flow of retail and rental floors, handling operational and merchandising functions to attain maximum profitability, efficiency, and a best-in-class guest experience.  Responsibilities will also include building a welcoming and fun team atmosphere, setting high expectations for guest service, accuracy, and efficiency, and leading by example.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill manager-on-duty responsibilities in all areas of the business when scheduled
  • Assist Store Manager in maintaining and coordinating operational expectations by following company policies and guidelines
  • Maintain and model high retail, merchandising and cleanliness standards as set forth by the Store and Regional Manager
  • Manage the team, training, delegate projects, and complete checklists and tasks
  • Assist Store Manager to ensure sales are generated while demonstrating and maintaining an enthusiastic and professional standard of guest service
  • Maintain all company paperwork according to policies and standards
  • Assist Store Manager in monitoring and controlling daily operational budgets, including payroll
  • Assist Store Manager in recruiting and maintaining a quality core staff
  • Assist in onboarding and training of new employees in POS, product knowledge, guest service, bootfitting, and setting skis
  • Assist Store Manager in communicating company values and goals to the employees
  • Lead inventory control and meet or exceed inventory goals
  • Enforce company cash handling and other Loss Prevention policies and procedures
  • Remain current on new industry products and trends; demonstrate knowledge of products
  • Be upbeat, motivated, take initiative, and possess the ability to multi-task
  • Communicate ideas or issues with the store manager
  • Generate Sales, demonstrate and maintain a professional standard of guest service


Job Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent- required
  • 2 years of retail sales- strongly preferred
  • 1 year of supervisory experience- preferred
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
  • Must be a great teammate and be able to handle a fast paced, stressful environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; stores are open 7 days a week and hours vary depending upon location, season, and type of store
  • Ability to conncet with co-workers and guests in accurate spoken and written English- required
  • Dedication to outstanding customer service
  • Familiarity with retail POS system


The budgeted range starts at $20.00 - $24.69.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
