Job Summary:
Support store operations by acting as a liaison between management and associates, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient merchandising. Key responsibilities include driving sales, maintaining inventory and attractive displays, supervising compliance with cash-handling procedures, and organizing stockrooms. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage physical tasks and uphold company standards for hospitality, safety, and environmental practices.

Job Responsibilities:
- Works as a liaison between the Manager and Store Associates.
- Assists in generating maximum sales through good sales techniques, full knowledge of all merchandise, and the ability to fully explain any item to the customer.
- Keeps store well stocked with merchandise
- Helps in maintaining attractive displays as required by the manager.
- Keep store clean and organized
- Handles responsibility for all back-stock areas to assure adequate, fast, restocking of merchandise.
- Maintains good communications with the Store Manager, other Supervisors, and Store Associates.
- Assists in spot inventories to assure a full supply of fast-moving merchandise.
- Follows and supervises compliance with company cash register procedures including cash, credit card, personal checks, ship-out transactions and closing register at night.
- Know and utilize employee's abilities and talents to the best extent possible.
- Safeguards company inventory using proper security procedures.
- Inventory shop at close of the season at the direction of Senior Retail staff.
- Organize stockroom, and specific areas in the warehouse that pertain to the store location, so all merchandise is easily accessible..
Other duties as assigned
Hospitality:
- Generate maximum sales by engaging customers needs
- Display merchandise in a National Park theme related manner
- Become familiar with merchandise to be able to answer questions customers might have.
- Keep all displays clean and free of dust.
- Stock merchandise daily, replenishing items sold and keeping a full stock available for sale.
- Follow cash register procedures established by the Company. Follow procedures including handling cash, checks, credit cards, voids, customer shipments, and closing registers at night.
- Maintain good communications with retail personnel.
Environmental:
- All employees will actively participate in hospitality, environmental, health and safety, and NPS/Community relations training, observe company policies and procedures, and promote all company values relative to protecting the natural environment
Health and Safety:
- Make sure appearance and grooming conforms to Company standards.
- Adhere to the company's Hazard Communication program by ensuring safe use of cleaning/chemical products in the department.
- Proper lifting and other safety procedures.
- Adhere to ladder safety, box cutter safety, trip hazards, lifting and cart safety SOPs.
NPS/Community Relations:
- You must be committed to working in partnership with the National Park Service and community organizations to enhance our guests’ experiences. Our goal is to receive only fours and fives on the five point rating scale used by NPS.
Financial:
- Prepare and complete bi-weekly payroll for staff in coordination with store manager
- Administrative Duties:
- Minimize Audit Points of Concerns (APOC’s)
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1 yr preferred
- Knowledge of Windows based programs including Excel, Word, etc.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, well groomed appearance
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Skills:
- Prior retail management experience
- Ability to motivate and direct people
- Prior Point of Sale experience
- Prior customer service experience
- At least 21 years old per Wyoming requirements for alcohol service

The expected pay range is $19.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
