Job Summary:

You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety. You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them. Supervises all housekeeping services and personnel at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins, ensuring that standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the in house facilities and that budget guidelines are met.

Job Responsibulities:

  • Schedule all department employees based on established guidelines.
  • Assign sections and rooms to area supervisors each morning.
  • Manage and oversee laundry facilities.
  • Initiate training programs to continue on-the-job training of room attendants throughout the season.
  • Complete appropriate personnel forms required for the above actions.
  • Clears payroll exceptions and approves time
  • Actively supervise the Inspectors insuring standards are maintained, through regular visits in the areas.
  • Hold periodic department meetings to discuss alternative methods, problems, etc.
  • Control issuance and return of all keys assigned to the department.
  • Coordinate with maintenance department on maintenance requirements; requests and follow-up.
  • Coordinate linen requisition, issues and deliveries with laundry manager.
  • Oversee and approve requisition of cleaning and supplies; insure supplies are used properly and economically by personnel and that adequate stocks are on hand and organized in all linen room.
  • Supervise the process of effective communication between units; housekeeping office and front desk to insure that information on room status is accurate and timely.
  • Suggest improvements in housekeeping methods and services; insure established cleanliness and appearance standards are maintained.
  • Operate in accordance with all established company policies and procedures

You must be committed to superior guest service and quality standards. As a team member of your department you play a key role ensuring the team’s success and achievement of meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations. Our goal is to receive a minimum of 86% on our guest comment scores.

Environmental:
The Flagg Ranch Company is entrusted with protecting the environment of John D. Rockefeller Memorial Parkway. As part of this mission you are responsible for carrying out our core environmental values: promote renewable energy, reduction of waste, protection of wildlife habitat, and environmental education. You should strive to preserve, protect and inspire your team members and our guests to join in this effort.

Health and Safety:
You are responsible for working in a safe and healthy manner. You must be knowledgeable of the company’s work safe policies and procedures.

NPS/Community Relations:
You must be committed to working in partnership with the National Park Service and community organizations to enhance our guests’ experiences. Our goal is to receive only fours and fives on the five point rating scale used by NPS 

Financial:
Manage payroll against budget.

Administrative Duties:
Schedule and ensure accurate payroll for supervised staff. 

 

Job Requirements:

  • 2 Years previous housekeeping experience.
  • 1 year housekeeping supervisory experience
  • Successful completion of MVR
  • Excellent communication skills

Other Requirements:

  • Using cleaning chemicals
  • Training: Golf Cart, Manager, MVR

The expected pay range is $50,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
