Job Summary:

You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety.  You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them.  Responsible for the overall operation of the employee village: dormitory housing for approximately 120 people, laundry facilities, and recreation facilities, housekeeping and groundskeeping for a 30-site employee RV park.  Schedules events for employee recreation.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $46,000

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Opens and prepares operations of employee housing at the beginning of the season: orders supplies, takes inventories, inspects and cleans dorm rooms, distribute welcome packets and makes repairs or maintenance requests as needed.
  • Assigns housing via housing spreadsheet, StarRez and employee tracker. Issues keys, uniforms and park stickers.
  • Oversees check-in for new employees using employee tracker and StarRez, assists employees with onboarding paperwork and use of StarRez, Epic Employee and The Lift.
  • Maintains records: management reports, maintenance requests, requisitions, housing assignments, disciplinary forms and voluntary resignation forms.
  • Prepares for and oversees new employee arrivals throughout the season.
  • Plans, schedules and executes a variety of recreation activities designed to interest all employees.
  • Prepares for NPS inspections by submitting maintenance requests and preparing grounds, ensuring dorm room cleanliness and monthly smoke detector inspections.
  • Plans, schedules and executes J1-specific trips, including bank appointments and social security trips.
  • Prepares schedules for cleaning and office hours.
  • Schedules and performs checkout of departing employees to ensure return of all items issued and satisfactory conditions of quarters.
  • Works with employees to mediate disputes, housing and maintenance issues.
  • Closes Employee dorms at end of season, cleaning all facilities ensuring they are ready for winter. This includes cleaning and inspecting dorm rooms in anticipation of emergency housing during winter season.
  • Maintains Rec Hall, dorm storage, exchange of linen, and supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma 
  • Prior experience planning activities that engage all age groups
  • Not required
  • Valid drivers license
  • Microsoft office
  • English
  • Must have excellent people skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must be hands on.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have upbeat positive can do attitude and possess the ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Ability to work varied hours and varied shifts, in varied terrain
  • Must have a passion for the outdoors
  • First aid/CPR/AED certification
  • Human Resource experience, knowledge about GTNP and YNP.

The expected pay range is $46,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
