Job Summary: 

You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety.  You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them.  Expected to anticipate our guest’s needs and assist them wherever applicable, with driving directions, luggage assistance, miscellaneous questions and inquiries and all other needs.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $17.75/hr
    • If hired into a tipped position, guaranteed to make a minimum of $20/hour, inclusive of tips

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Expected to be present out front of the hotel and act as an ambassador to our guests for the first person to welcome them to the property upon arrival and the last person they see as they depart.  Expected to assist as guests drive up with car doors and luggage needs and act as a welcoming presence to all guests.
  • Accompanies guests to room with luggage.
  • Provides information to guests on all facilities and activities.
  • Explains operation of equipment in guestrooms such as heater controls.
  • Performs room checks for occupancy.
  • Bus Tours: assists tours in unloading/loading luggage to and from guestrooms
  • Completes Room Moves for the guests
  • Stores luggage for guests.
  • Shows rooms to potential guests.
  • Handles receiving and delivering of guest packages.
  • Keeps supplies stocked in bell desk.
  • Controls lights at main entrance of lodge and sidelights of lodge.
  • Pick up and deliver guest laundry.
  • Provides room service for liquor and ice
  • Manages pick-up and delivery for microwaves and refrigerators for guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness of bell desk, bell closet and vehicles.
  • Knowledgeable on the Brand Standards of Vail Resorts and able to act in accordance to defined standards at all times on job.

Hospitality:
You must be committed to superior guest service and quality standards. As a team member of your department you play a key role ensuring the team’s success and achievement of meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations. Our goal is to receive a minimum of 90% on our guest comment scores.

 

Environmental:
The Grand Teton Lodge Company is entrusted with protecting the environment of Grand Teton National Park. As part of this mission you are responsible for carrying out our core environmental values: promote renewable energy, reduction of waste, protection of wildlife habitat, and environmental education. You should strive to preserve, protect and inspire your team members and our guests to join in this effort.

 

Health and Safety:
You are responsible for working in a safe and healthy manner.  You must be knowledgeable of the company’s work safe policies and procedures.

 

NPS/Community Relations:
You must be committed to working in partnership with the National Park Service and community organizations to enhance our guests’ experiences. Our goal is to receive only fours and fives on the five point rating scale used by NPS.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bell Experience Preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Good communication skills
  • Guest service experience

The expected pay range is $17.75/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
