Job Summary:

Performs all duties necessary to support the food and beverage vision of JHGTC for banquets: exceptional guest service, answering phones,making reservations, seating guests, bussing tables. You are expected be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, Health and Safety, and to adhere to the company’s mission, vision, and value statements

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $15.00/hr

  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

  • Friendly and Accurate Service: Greet guests with a SMILE. Adhere to steps of service at all times and strive for the best tailored guest experience.
  • Timeliness: Promptness to work and time effective interactions with guests.
  • Attention to detail: Set tables according to specifications, table maintenance during meal.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization: Work clean and in an organized manner, even when busy. Keep all guest areas and BOH area clean.
  • Positive Attitude: Maintain professionalism and graciousness, even under high stress.
  • Be Hands On: Practice full hands in, full hands out. Help your fellow teammates.
  • Respect: Treat all coworkers and JHGTC staff from every department with respect and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the F&B department: banquet request specifics, event details, chef’s core principles regarding food, menu item ingredients and preparations, cocktail ingredients and preparations, beverage service, hours of operations for all outlets, club event details, location and levels of items needed for service.
  • Promote JHGTC: Be conscious that you are an advocate for the company at work, and outside of work. Provide suggestive upselling where appropriate to enhance the guest experience.

 

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Previous casual fine dining waiting experience
  • Previous banquet service experience preferred
  • TIPS Certification
  • POS
  • Excellent people skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work long shifts and varied hours

Preferred Skills: 

  • Prior Point of Sale system experience
  • Knowledge in wine and beverage service
  • Passion for guest service
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task
  • Calm demeanor in high intensity situations
