The Mount Sunapee Learning Center is continuing a long tradition of offering dozens of lesson programs for skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities.  We offer beginner lessons, lessons for children (ages 4 and up), specialized programs for seniors, women and telemarkers, private lessons, and group lessons for all ability levels and childcare (ages 1-5).  We also offer a winter long program to school groups who ski and board with us during the week.

 

Job responsibilities include:

  • Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Caring and sensitive attitude towards our guests.
  • Computer literacy, ability to make reservations, process confirmations and handle cash outs.
  • Fielding calls and answering questions pertaining to Learning Center products & Mount Sunapee.
  • Maintaining strong personal appearance standards.
  • Handling high pressure situations and dealing with crowds. 
  • Ability to work any of the three desks as needed.
  • Ability to work alone or with one to two other employees.
  • Knowledge of the ski area for the public.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform whatever other functions may be requested by supervisors.

 

Time Commitment

Our staffing needs vary greatly due to snow conditions and weather.  During our busy periods-Christmas vacation, February vacation and weekends-we need a large staff.  There is a minimum commitment of 23 days for season pass privileges.  However, you are encouraged to make yourself available as often as possible.
