Job Summary:


Ski Patrol's primary responsibility is to provide and promote a safe environment for our guests and employees as well as to provide exceptional guest service. Ski Patrol is responsible for executing essential guest service functions such as responding to medical emergencies on the mountain, transporting injured guests off the mountain to appropriate facility, and general hill safety. Ski patrol is also responsible for enforcing safe skiing and riding practices, enforcement of the Skier's and Rider's Responsibility Code, interacting with unsafe guests, and educating our guests. Special circumstances include chairlift evacuation. Other duties can be assigned as needed. Ski patrol is a highly visible role on the mountain and a great deal of guest interaction is required.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the day to day operations of Ski Patrol, overseeing all facets of guest service, guest safety, mountain safety, medical care, mountain maintenance and lift evacuation.
  • Responsible for providing medical response and guest services to our Adventure and Bike Park in the summer
  • Administrative duties such as goal setting, performance management, performance appraisals, overseeing and ensuring the quality assurance of training, scheduling, work comp, payroll, budget management and anything else necessary for the successful operation of Ski Patrol 
  • Will work closely with other on mountain departments and managers and third party agencies.
  • Extensive knowledge of mountain operations, including but not limited to: snowmaking, slope maintenance, risk management, terrain parks, lift maintenance, race crew, lift operations, mountain safety, mountain dining, special events, and transportation.
  • Demonstrates effective supervisory skills with regards to motivation (morale and positive reinforcement), disciplinary and corrective action, and documented mid and end of season review.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills and strong guest service skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year supervisory experience 
  • Must have 3 years minimum of patrol experience
  • Proficient in Word/Excel and be able to navigate Corporate intranet sites 
  • Able to handle conflict with diplomacy and tact
  • Be successful with influencing a positive culture, leading change, empowering the workforce and driving employee engagement
  • Able to work weekends and holidays 


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to ski or ride at an expert level
