Job Specifications:

  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time


The Supervisor is a member of the Stevens Pass Ski and Snowboard School Leadership team.

The primary responsibility of this role is to supervise front line staff delivering lesson programs under the direction of the Program Manager, with a focus on coordination of the on-snow aspects of our operations. This is a seasonal hourly position running from November through the end of the winter season, typically in late April.   • Run lesson line-ups, assign classes and deliver superior guest service.
  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of teaching areas and indoor spaces and conveyor lifts.
  • Mentor, observe, coach and deliver feedback and evaluations to instructors and staff.
  • Work with Management Team to promote an employee culture of inclusivity and excellence that will result in a safe, positive and engaging work environment.
  • Know and ensure all staff are trained on and adhere to policies & procedures.
  • Contribute to the department’s exemplary safety record through timely communication, coaching, recognition and incident reporting.
  • Ensure activity and payroll information is entered accurately on a daily basis.
  • Monitor and adjust staffing levels at the direction of the Program or Product Manager.
  • Lead special activities and maintain facilities. Assist with hiring and training as needed.




  • Minimum 1 year experience in Ski and Snowboard School or closely related field.
  • Excellent personal skills particularly when dealing with Guest Service situations and scenarios not defined by policy or procedure.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively with a variety of demographics.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a high paced, variable environment with the ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows based applications and internet based software.
  • Employment in this position is subject to a satisfactory background screening.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, weekdays & holidays. 



  • PSIA/AASI Level 1 certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with RPOS or RTP staff management software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a lead role for Vail Resorts.


The budgeted range starts at $22 - $35.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
