The Ski Patrol Night Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to provide and promote a safe environment for our guests and employees while providing exceptional guest service.  In addition, this position will supervise ski patrol resources in an ever changing environment and will manage any incident that may arise. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Ski patrol is a highly visible role on the mountain and a great deal of guest interaction is required.


 Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Supervising night operations of Ski Patrol. Oversees and manages all facets of guest service, guest safety, mountain safety, medical care, mountain maintenance, lift evacuation and avalanche rescue involving ski patrol.
  • Administrative duties including scheduling, daily hill assignments, goal setting, performance management, assurance of training, and other duties necessary for the successful operations of Ski Patrol. 
  • Will work closely with avalanche forecasters, mountain operations departments, resort managers and third party agencies.
  • Extensive knowledge of mountain operations, including but not limited to: slope maintenance, risk management, terrain parks, lift maintenance, lift operations, mountain safety, special events, and transportation.
  • Demonstrates effective supervisory and leadership skills with regards to motivation (morale and positive reinforcement), disciplinary/corrective action and company policies.
  • Act as role model regarding employee development and guest service related initiatives
  • Possess strong communication skills and strong guest service skills.
  • Proficient in the Incident Command System.
  • Avalanche control and mitigation work.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Ski Patrol Manager




  • ·       High school diploma or GED required
  • ·       Minimum of 5 years of ski patrol experience
  • ·       Minimum of 2 years of supervision experience
  • State issued driver’s license, Outdoor Emergency Care Provider (OEC) or above, must possess or able to acquire a Washington State Blasters License
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • English proficiency
