SUMMARY

Clean dining and kitchen area efficiently in a fast paced environment.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum 16 years of age or older

No prior experience or training is necessary

Ability to read basic instructions and carry out written or oral instructions

Washington state food handlers permit

Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend to garbage disposal, recycling, and compost; maintain the cleanliness of the disposal cans and supplies

Mop floors and clean up spills in assigned area

Clear, wipe, and set dining tables as needed

Carry supplies from refrigerators and storerooms to kitchens and restaurants

Stock serving stations with dishes, condiments, etc.

Assist with other areas within the F&B division as needed

Greet guests in a courteous manner

Other duties as requested by F&B Management Team, the General Manager, and the Senior Management Team

 

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Be knowledgeable about the resort area, and products and services available in restaurant

Demonstrate a positive attitude toward the workplace, co-workers, and the guests

Communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers effectively regarding personnel and work issues

Work unsupervised in a manner that is professional and consistent with company and department policies and procedures

Apply good judgment when dealing with customer service situations and other situations that are not clearly defined by standard operating procedures

Assist enthusiastically when asked to help out in other areas of either the Cascadian Kitchen or other Food and Beverage departments

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds or greater with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud on occasion. The employee will occasionally walk on slick, wet, snow-covered, or uneven surfaces.
