Entry Terrain Park Attendant - Winter Seasonal - Stevens Pass

The Terrain Park Entry Attendant will work as an entry level tester & Park attendant to the Terrain Park leadership for all needs of the dept.  Helps contribute feedback of park design & layout. Assists with supervision of daytime operations. Assurance of Daily procedures, Maintenance & safety of all terrain features, signs and boundaries.  Assist Ski Patrol & Ensures compliance with all risk management, health and safety protocols. Helps with fabrication or repairs of terrain features when needed. Assists with guest relations and education. Ensures Inspection & testing of all terrain features and all departmental documents/polices. 





  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Ability to speak, read and communicate clearly in English.
  • Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness.
  • Flexible schedule required during peak times throughout the year.
  • At least 1 year prior experience working in a terrain park, similar facility or in outside Ski resort work environment required.
  • Must either snowboard or ski with advanced ability as determined by management. Riding Requirements- able to ride 50% of features in the terrain parks.
  • Candidates 18 years or older are subject to a satisfactory background screening.
  • Must be a team player flexible with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business.
  • Strong communication and team work skills, Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form including communicating on the mountain radio


General: (But are not limited to):

  1. Self-starter with the ability to work well with others.
  2. Installing and maintaining park signage, closures, trail markings, fencing and Barriers.
  3. Monitoring terrain features according to company policy.
  4. Maintaining of terrain features and equipment in the parks.
  5. Assisting with special events & Marketing
  6. Participate in user education.
  7. Keeping all facilities in clean, neat condition.
  8. Adhere to all Company policies.
  9. Assists with all departmental documentation
  10. Patrol Terrain Parks, assist Ski Patrol with any injuries and guest education
  11. Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness.





Perform additional tasks as requested by the General Manager and other Director Team members.


Preferred skills:

  • Previous Construction/Landscaping experience
  • CPR/first Aid trained




While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, sit, stoop, balance, climb and hike in and over steep, winter terrain and man-made park features.  The employee will reach with hands and arms to manipulate small items with gloved hands; operate a manual rake or shovel; swing and carry hand tools, equipment, and personal supplies. The employee may regularly lift up to 50 pounds alone and may occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance. The employee may be exposed to: working near moving machinery or moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; and inclement weather and mountain environmental conditions. Snowmobile operation is frequent. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the working environment is frequently loud; the employee may be exposed to high volume of power tools, machinery, or whining. The employee must be a competent skier or snowboarder. During night work, low light situations can occur. Shovel, rake snow surfaces and be in outside in winter/spring environments for up to 10hrs.
