Job Summary:
The Senior Resort Manager at Snow Creek has complete oversight, management and leadership of all aspects of resort operations including but not limited to mountain operations, food and beverage, ski and snowboard school, base operations, special events, guest services, community relations, resort safety and other areas as applicable. Matrix oversight for product sales & services, finance, marketing, communications, human resources, governmental affairs, and resort safety.

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for business performance of the Resort including expense management and revenue generation.
- Successfully recruit, hire, coach, motivate and develop an industry leading management team. Ensure the management team is aligned with Vail Resorts goals, values, and stakeholders.
- Create a positive work culture that has an unwavering commitment to providing the best experience possible for each and every guest focusing on continuous improvement where every employee is proud to work for the Resort.
- Ensure that the guest and employee experience is nothing short of an Experience of a Lifetime. Meet or exceed all metrics and goals.
- Responsible for safety and security of employees and guests creating a positive employee experience and culture.
- Lead a sphere of influence that includes direct management of resort functions and indirect partnership of corporate functions including Sales & Marketing, Information Technology, Finance, HR, Development, and others.
- Builds and sustains strong, positive relationships with key community stakeholders. This includes city, county & state agencies, media - leading these groups toward alignment with key resort and company goals and initiatives.
- Maintains and increases subject matter expertise of ski and snowboard industry, stays abreast of industry trends and news, increases industry relationships and uses expertise to influence positive change throughout Vail Resorts.
- Ensure all company records are updated and that the necessary permits are in place for continued operation and Ski Area is fully compliant with local, state and federal rules and laws.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies.
- Become an established leader in the region and community through the development and execution of progressive and smart strategic, master and capital plans.
- Prioritize and adapt in constantly changing business and environmental setting.
- Insist on healthy and continual communication throughout Ski Area. Participate in formal meetings and best practices groups and stay in regular communication with colleagues throughout Vail Resorts.
- Oversight review of all workers compensation and property loss reports in all resort operation departments in order to make adjustments and improve performance.
- Become an established leader in the region and community through the development and execution of progressive and smart strategic, master and capital plans.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years in Ski Resorts and/or Mountain Operations.
- 2-4 years in senior management role and managing multiple departments.
- Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office.
- Written Communication and Public Speaking.
- Demonstrated strong financial management. Intermediate skiing ability required.
- Highly preferred: Company courses in leadership, performance and goal setting. Knowledge of all compliance areas of oversight through regulatory agencies.
The expected pay range is $68,546 - $90,333 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
