Job Summary:

Service is the foundation of everything we stand for at Vail Resorts, and our Ski School Managers are no exception to facilitating this experience of a lifetime. Responsible for supervising school operations, Ski School Managers are devoted leaders committed to staff development and guest experience.

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $54,754 - $60,000
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
  • Housing Availability: No

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee quality and performance of the Ski and Ride School, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitions, and events 
  • Review instructor performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, including recognition, corrective action, or escalation if necessary 
  • Manage administrative duties including hiring, scheduling, training, payroll, managing equipment inventory, and monitoring guest feedback 
  • Manage compliance with all safety-related programs, including policy training and incident reporting  
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies 
  • Participate in leadership forums, providing feedback and input on school operations, training, and continuous improvement opportunities 
  • Coordinate with other management, departments, and third-party organizations as needed 
  • Other duties as assigned  

 

Job Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred 
  • Current PSIA/AASI certification required 
  • 2-5 years supervisory ski/snowboard instructor experience required 
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications 
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English

The expected pay range is $54,754 - $60,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
