Job Summary:
The Ski & Ride School Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily guest and employee experience by leading Ski & Ride School operations and modeling Vail Resorts’ mission, vision, and values. This role supports instructional quality, staffing execution, guest service recovery, employee development, and safety standards while ensuring efficient and professional operation of Ski & Ride School programs.

The Supervisor works closely with Ski & Ride School leadership, administrative staff, and other resort departments to ensure a seamless experience for guests and a positive, engaging workplace for employees.

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $52,000.00 - $65,137.70
  • Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2026 
  • Shift Type: Part Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily Ski & Ride School operations, including indoor and outdoor teaching areas and instructional programs
  • Maintain instructional quality standards through observation, feedback, and use of training resources
  • Align daily staffing and lesson assignments with guest demand, reservations, and labor guidelines
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance support to instructors and assistant supervisors
  • Support Guest Experience targets and resolve guest concerns using service recovery standards
  • Lead, model, and enforce departmental and resort safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure team members are knowledgeable about lesson products, schedules, and company policies
  • Oversee multiple lines of business, including Adult Lessons, Private Lessons, Children’s Programs, Seasonal Programs, and Adaptive offerings (as applicable)
  • Partner with Ski & Ride School leadership to support seasonal goals, training priorities, and continuous improvement
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, peers, and cross-functional partners
  • Model professionalism, inclusivity, and Vail Resorts’ values always
  • Teach guests or assist with instruction when operationally necessary
  • Complete administrative, reporting, and operational tasks as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Ski & Snowboard School environment
  • PSIA/AASI Level 1 certification or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of ski and snowboard instruction fundamentals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively lead, support, and develop teams
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and variable schedules
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • College degree or coursework in a related field
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience working with children’s programs
  • Advanced PSIA/AASI certification levels

The expected pay range is $52,000.00 - $65,137.70. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
