Job Summary:

Mount Snow Child Care is looking for Lead Educators to join our year-round early educator’s team.  Year-round programming in our five classrooms ranging from infants through prekindergarten focuses on play based learning experiences and exploration of Mount Snow within our early childhood education program and non-recurring program. 


Lead Educators are responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating curriculum and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classrooms.  Lead Educators must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed.  Lead Educators must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, have effective teaching teams and have strong daily communication with families. 


Lead Educators will ensure a healthy classroom environment and all center policies and state regulations are met.  Flexibility, patience, excellent team skills, positive attitude and great guest service is required as well as an interest in outdoor education. Other duties as assigned.


Job Specifications:

Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent college credits approved by state licensing.
  • At least one year of professional child care experience.
  • Must meet state licensing requirements for position qualifications.
  • Certified in Infant/child CPR & First Aid within 4 weeks of beginning employment.
  • Ability to work well with others and foster a team environment.
  • Ability to handle a fast paced environment.
  • A strong understanding of child development, and open to continued professional development.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational & interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to follow all procedures and guidelines as outlined in the employee handbook and state licensing regulations manual.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Must clear full background check.
  • Must be at least 18 years old


The budgeted range starts at $20 - $25.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
