Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Leading a small team of operators in the snow removal operations at the resort.
- Reporting to Snow Surfaces manager with equipment and team updates.
- Timely and accurate reporting of any and all damages or injuries.
- Provide the safest possible surfaces for our guests and employees to drive and walk on.
- Provide excellent internal and external guest service.
- Safely and efficiently operate all equipment used by the Mountain Operations team including but not limited to Front loaders with various implements, Snowblowers, backhoes, skid steers and snow cats.
- Monitor all equipment daily and make sure that all issues are addressed promptly and communicated with Vehicle Maintenance.
- Responsible for daily vehicle/equipment checks.
- Responsible for loader/truck tire chain installation, removal and repair to include welding.
- Ability to work unsupervised with a task list required.
- Train beginer operators in the safe operation of equipment
Requirements:
- Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must have 2+ years experience plowing snow in a front loader.
- Must have the ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Must have the ability to perform manual, vigorous labor in varying weather conditions, including freezing temperatures, snow, ice, wind and rain.
- Must be able to pass loader operator test (Intermediate and Advanced Classifications)
- Previous experience preferred but not required
- Must have a flexible schedule which would include the ability to work early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer skills, Microsoft Outlook email
