Job Summary: 

From lift line to lunch line – Monte Wolfe’s has you covered. We are seeking an energetic and organized Assistant Manager, Front of House, to help lead daily guest-facing operations at Monte Wolfe’s, the heart of Kirkwood’s dining scene and one of the busiest on-mountain restaurants. Located in the vibrant Village base area, this high-volume, cafeteria-style venue serves hundreds of skiers and snowboarders daily with hearty breakfasts, satisfying lunches, a bustling après-ski bar, and an outdoor mountain grill experience. 

  

This role is perfect for a hospitality-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys being at the center of the guest experience. The Front of House Assistant Manager will work closely with the management team to lead FOH staff, maintain exceptional service standards, support efficient restaurant operations, and create a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to confidently lead a team through busy shifts while maintaining a positive, service-first culture. 
 

Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Assist managing dining operations and performance for front of houses, including training, scheduling, and directing staff. 

  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times and fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. 

  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment. 

  • Review staff performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, providing recognition or corrective action including termination if necessary   

  • Oversees FOH personnel; coordinates their assignments to ensure economical & timely production. 

  • Leads and drives FOH team training and continued education in the effort of elevating the dining experience. 

  • Completes management reports pertaining to revenue accounting, tip disbursements and recording, scheduling, ordering products and equipment, payroll, inventory control and keeping daily manager logs. 

  • Participate in leadership forums providing feedback and input on dining operations, training, and continuous improvement opportunities.   

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Job Requirements:  

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelors or Culinary degree preferred 

  • ServSafe certification or regional equivalent required  

  • TIPS Certification required 

  • 3-5 years of restaurant experience, 1+ years of supervisory experience required  

  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout a shift for up to 8 hours, lift and/or carry up to 50lbs.  

  • Ability to shovel snow 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends  

  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English; bilingual preferred 

 

The expected pay range is Starting at $25.00/h. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
