Senior Sales Coordinator - Kirkwood - Year Round

Sales Responsibilities: Sales and Service of weddings and banquet groups, coordination for Winter Day Groups, General Administration, assist with winter events and lodging groups.


  • Sell and service Kirkwood weddings and banquet groups
  • Client Billing and Account Audits
  • Interdepartmental group communication and forecasting
  • Continuous updates to departments affected by groups
  • Create Product orders in Delphi.FDC and process in RPOS
  • Meet with day group leaders as needed
  • Develop Group Itineraries if needed
  • Day of event coordinator to ensure smooth event execution with all group related events
  • Adhere to policies & procedures consistent with Vail corporate guidelines
  • Maximize revenue and all lines of business with strong product knowledge, servicing skills and client upselling techniques
  • Forecasts and reconciles all sales and service activities into Delphi.FDC in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Negotiates and contracts Weddings including guest room rates, meeting room rental and function space to achieve maximum profitability while satisfying customer desires, within approved booking guidelines.
  • Coordinate site visits as necessary, and develop organized and professional plans for correspondence and follow up.
  • Actively participates in various industry networking groups. This includes but is not limited to attending local and regional events and conventions, and developing relationships with meeting planners and decision maker for the wedding market. Networking and cultivating the business.
  • Actively participates in weekly sales meeting and wedding regional team meetings.
  • Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Weekly BEO meetings with Mountain Dining to ensure communication with teams
  • Works closely with Mountain Dining to create seamless banquet experiences


Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English
  • College Degree preferred with emphasis on Business Administration or Hotel Management preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in hospitality industry
  • Hotel Sales experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and outlook
  • Experience with CRM required – Delphi or PeopleSoft Preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Resume required
  • In-person interviews preferred
  • Two satisfactory references required
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
